Equitots is a reflection of my heart and soul. I prosper when I see humans and equines, prosper.

I have formally and informally studied and learned, and I have worked with hundreds... maybe thousands...of horses and humans in different parts of the world. Although I consider myself to be a forever student, I have in recent years also enjoyed sharing the skills and knowledge which I was privileged to collect. I believe that every living thing deserves to be nurtured and loved and my desire is to empower many horses and humans to actualise themselves through Equitots successfully.

I started my adventure with horses as a little girl. From a very young age I knew  that I would one day work with children. I always had this passion in me especially for those who are different. Combining my passion for kids and horses came naturally after school, when I went to study horses, and became EQASA and SARDA qualified. Soon after my studies Emma and I became friends and from there Equitots grew. 

My dream is, that through Equitots we will be able to help children every day and everywhere in the world to be the best kind of special individual they are meant to be.

My lifeline is the Orange River and the red sand of the Kalahari, this is here under the warmth of the Upington sun where you will find me. I grew up on a farm, my father loves horses very much because he says it's the best way to do farm work so he made sure to pass that same love for horse on to me. My dad always got me the best horses growing up and by best I mean not the prettiest or the fastest but the best temperament and that's how my love for horses grew.  

I came apon Equitots in my second year of my studies at Elsenburg. I always had it in the back of my head that I would want a job like this because I love children and horses but never thought it would become a reality. As soon as I started at Equitots I knew for sure this is what I was meant to do and that there is no turning back.

“There’s something about the outside of a horse, that is good for the inside of a man” (Winston Churchill) This is my absolute believe in life!  

I have loved horses all my life and if I can assist in anyway way to help someone to know it too, then I feel complete. My journey with horses started at an early age and I realized that I would like to give back to the Bahrain community by offering Equine Assisted Learning sessions for special needs children.

I enjoy every experience that the special needs kids have with the horses, and it is fascinating to see how a horse can help them relax, face challenges, and enhance their muscle movement.

 Although most of my experience is in the corporate world, I embrace this new journey with EQUITOTS and is excited to see where it will take me within the Middle East.

As a young child, I grew up on a farm In the garden route with horses and many animals. My love for horses started with my Mom, we shared our love of horses together and this is where my Journey with Horses began. My horses have been a massive positive influence in my life and heart and that will forever be a part of me in everything I do. I have always had a passion for working with horses and caring, helping people.

After school I studied my degree in Psychology, counselling and communication. This opened up my love and experience in working with people and specifically children. I am a qualified wellness counselor. I have always imagined that I would work with both horses and people together in a therapeutic and holistic way. I want to share with others, through Equitots, the healing ability of horses and experience the special connection with horses and so much more it has to offer for our development and growth as unique individuals.

My journey with horses began when I was 8 years old and since that day my passion and adoration for them has just grown. There is nothing quite like being around a horse to find out who you really are, there is so much we can learn from them, about them and about ourselves.

I am a qualified Biokinetcist with an undergraduate degree in sports psychology. I absolutely love working with people and it brings me such joy seeing how movement can better our emotional and psychological well-being and what our bodies are capable of.

A dream of mine has always been to help children whilst using horses. I have always been drawn to working with children especially those who have physical and emotional challenges as I find it incredibly inspiring to see them reach their full potential by breaking through the barriers that are holding them back.

I have seen in my own life how much horses have taught me and others, and what a fundamental role they play in our lives. It is for this reason that I strongly believe in the Equitots model and once I attended the introductory course, I knew that this was where I was meant to be.

As a little girl I was totally obsessed with horses but as I got older I realised that despite my obsession I needed some sort of experience and qualification. I began volunteering at SARDA and Shumbashaba and completed some courses to support my experiences. I have now completed my Degree in Psychology and my studies through Equitots.

My dream is create a space where horses and humans can heal and grow together. Horses are a special part of the learning and therapeutic process because they are empathetic and able to sense and read our emotions and body language.
